9:00AM:  Opening Remarks / Welcome / Thanks 

9:15AM:   Introduction to the HUD Team & HUD Policy Updates

Get the latest updates from HUD. (e.g., REAC / NSPIRE inspections, NOFOs/NOFAs, COVID-19, new rules or policies, etc.)

9:45AM:  Occupancy Requirements – Major Roles and Responsibilities

New specialists will learn the basics of the eligibility requirements for occupancy, resident selection, waitlist, and how to calculate and verify income allowances and perform the annual and interim adjustments or recertification. Seasoned specialists and housing managers will get the latest updates, common mistakes to avoid, and best practices.

11:00AM:   Management & Occupancy Reviews – The 3-Part Process (Desk, Inspection, and Forms)

HUD will walk you through each component of the Management and Occupancy Review and confirm the key concerns or documents needed to successfully prepare, respond and close out the MOR. 

12:15PM:  Working Lunch / Service Coordinator & Coordination Training

This session will give you the latest updates on SC Grants and Budget Driven SC.

1:30PM:  Budget Based Rent Adjustments

HUD will discuss how to maximize your PRAC rent adjustments, operating budgets, including the replacement reserves. HUD will also address when to tell RAD for PRACs may be beneficial to you.

2:45PM:  HUD Q&A / Wrap Up / Final Remarks

Housing managers, asset managers,  occupancy specialists/leasing agents, property managers, service coordinators, and other interested frontline staff.
