Broadmead, Inc. is a not-for-profit Life Plan Community situated on a beautiful 94-acre campus just 17 miles from Baltimore, Maryland. The vibrant and pioneering community offers the full continuum of care, ranging from garden-style and open concept independent living choices to new luxury apartments, assisted living, memory support assisted living, and both short- and long-term healthcare and rehabilitative services. The role of the CFO is to lead a team of professionals in implementing and managing the Finance and Information Technology functions of Broadmead, Inc. and its affiliated organizations. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO’s oversight includes all accounting practices, management of the budget process, preparation of financial reports, tax filings, cost reports and facilitation, and contracting for and maintenance of the corporations’ insurance programs and coordination of the audit process. The CFO directs the financial strategy, forecasting, and planning in consultation with department directors, affiliate leadership, and the Broadmead Executive Leadership Team. The focus of this position is to analyze and report on trends, opportunities, and concerns regarding the financial wellbeing and growth potential of the organization. The CFO shall also serve as the Treasurer of Broadmead, Inc. and will support the Broadmead Finance and Investment Committee.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of ten years of related progressive finance experience in a faith-centered giving and/or CCRC living environment. (S)he will have a comprehensive knowledge of finance reporting and strategies and a demonstrated ability to establish, achieve and exceed strategic goals. (S)he will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. A CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance is required.
