Position Summary:

Ensure appropriate and adequate numbers of clinical staff for all shifts and delegate authority, responsibility, and accountability to nursing supervisors to perform their assigned duties.

Maintain current nursing policies and procedures that meet all regulatory requirements and ensure nursing care is delivered within scope of practice, is of high quality, and meets the individual needs of those they serve.

Responsible for the competence of clinical staff through appropriate licensure and training.

Participate in environmental rounding and actively seek staff and resident input regarding safety concerns and immediately investigate potential risks, coordinate the completion of RCAs, identify process improvements, and ensure changes become embedded in day-to-day practice.

Maintain an accurate assessment of the cultural climate within the department and actively address impending conflicts and proactively address client and family concerns by performing thorough and fair investigations.

Collaborate with on and off-campus medical staff, clinical leaders, and other contracted agencies.

Share expertise and knowledge with other center leaders to promote service excellence through involvement in Nurse Executive Council and P&T committee.

Participate in campus wide planning, promoting, and conducting nursing performance improvement activities.

Oversee med pass observations and delegation process, complete appropriate assessments for potential residents during initial assessment, complete reviews to assure that all required documentation and assessments are completed in a timely manner, develop appropriate and timely Health Care Plans, and make recommendations/initiate transfer of residents as needed

As a member of the Nurse Executive Leadership Council, assist in the coordination, development, and oversight of nursing services and the cross-continuum of care throughout Christian Health, actively engage nurse leaders in organizational and clinical priorities, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing practices, policies/procedures/protocols, ensure coordinated oversight of quality indicators and clinical expectations for all contracted clinical services, and collaborate with Senior Management and Medical Staff on forward-thinking organizational strategyAssume administrative functions in absence of Administrator.


Summary: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred3-5 years’ experience in an administrative position3-5 years’ experience working with the elderly; Assisted Living experience preferred

Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of New Jersey

Must be CPR certified
