Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by The Hill at Whitemarsh to conduct an executive search for a President & Chief Executive Officer.

The Hill at Whitemarsh (The Hill) is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with an outstanding reputation in senior services. The 96-acre campus is one of the last sanctuaries of pastoral life within the greater Philadelphia area, with a remarkable verdant landscape and bucolic charm considering its proximity to the delights of the city. The Hill embraces a resident-focused model which is supported by a five-star team of approximately 350 staff serving more than 400 residents. Proud to be CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited, The Hill received a “Five-Star Quality Rating” from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and was recognized by U.S. News & World Report with the highest possible ratings for short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and overall care. The Hill is looking for a President & CEO to provide overall leadership for the organization in the fulfillment of its Strategic Plan, Mission, Vision, and Values. The President & CEO sets the direction for the future and positions the organization at the forefront of the industry. This is accomplished by leading the organization through sound strategic planning, nurturing a positive corporate culture, actively engaging and collaborating with the Board of Trustees, allocating assets effectively and building key community relationships.

The successful candidate for this position will have significant leadership experience in aging services, be mission, vision, and core value focused, with strong interpersonal skills and solid financial skills. Five years’ experience or more as CEO, President, or similar executive role with oversight of residential living or a healthcare organization is required. Prior expansion and/or construction experience is highly desirable.
