The Resident Services Staff Educator functions at a professional management level, using clinical expertise with communication and teammate training skills to plan, organize, implement and evaluate the facility’s education program in accordance with State and Federal regulations and the policies of UMC. Collaborates with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Department Managers and Supervisors to ensure that individualized education programs are provided to all teammates as required, mandated, or as needed to enhance and improve job performance and to stimulate personal growth and development.

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. RN in good standing in NJ.

Preferred Education: B.S. degree

Minimum Applicable Experience:

  • 5-10 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience in long term care.
  • Experience with the geriatric population.
  • Knowledge of EMR.
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to education as a methodology for promoting quality improvement in the delivery of resident care services.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with electronic mail and calendaring system.
  • 5 years experience as a clinical nurse in long term care.

Preferred Applicable Experience:

  • Experience in teaching or professional development preferred.
  • Minimum Professional Membership, Licensure, Certifications:
  • Must hold current & unencumbered Nursing License from the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.) Certified
  • I.V. Certified
  • Must be eligible or willing to obtain qualifications to coordinate a State Approved Certified Nurse Aide Training program.
