New Jersey was fortunate to have been part of CMS’ pilot for risk-based surveys. HFS&FO inspects licensed or Medicaid-certified health facilities in New Jersey to ensure they meet standards of quality care and investigate complaints from the public. Prior to this role\, she served as the Program Manager of the Acute Care Program where she managed statewide survey operations for all non–long-term care facilities\, to ensure compliance with state licensure requirements and federal Medicare/Medicaid certification regulations.
