DESCRIPTION:AGITATION: THINK ABOUT PAIN!  \nLIVE COURSE May 25\, 2022 | 2 p.m.-3:15 p.m. | Cost $79  \nCONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS OFFERED  \nOverview NJHA and LeadingAge NJ & DE are pleased to co-host this seminar. \nAgitation often is misread by caregivers and medical professionals who do not realize that these behaviors can be caused by pain. Symptoms can include mood lability\, depression\, delusions\, psychosis and paranoia. Behaviors can include poor self-care\, inappropriate voiding and poor social skills. \nThe faculty for this session will cover these behaviors and examine how the pain and agitation can best be treated and how medications\, as well as behavioral intervention\, can help. This seminar will answer the questions: How do you assess the causes of agitation? How do you use behavioral techniques to alleviate agitation?
