This session will provide practical guidance for property management and maintenance professionals working with an aging resident population. \nThis engaging session will focus on common challenges property management\, service coordinators\, and maintenance teams may encounter when working with elderly residents. Topics will include\, but are not limited to\, practical approaches to accommodations\, communication\, safety concerns\, and managing changing resident needs\, with an emphasis on day-to-day property operations and effective resident interactions. \nHOTMA Today \nThe Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA) brought significant changes to affordable housing compliance\, and implementation continues to evolve as housing professionals work through new requirements\, policy decisions\, and operational challenges. \nThis session will provide an overview of the key areas affected by HOTMA\, including income and asset calculations\, recertifications\, verification requirements\, and discretionary policy decisions.
