DESCRIPTION:This engaging presentation will provide education to those who work with Older Adults on the prevalence\, symptoms and warning signs of Substance Use Disorders in Older Adults and how to assess refer and treat it effectively. \nRegister here!\nTarget Audience: \nHealthcare & Housing professionals including\, but not limited to\, Therapists\, Social Workers\, Service Coordinators\, Case Managers\, and Nurses \nEvent Objectives:  \n\nDiscuss the fastest growing population requiring specialized Substance Use Disorder Treatment.\nExamine treatment components necessary to provide an integrated approach to Older Adult Treatment.\nDevelop and address the clinical needs necessary to treat this population.\n\nSpeaker Bios:  \nDiana Santiago\,  LCSW\, CAADC \nDiana Santiago is the Clinical Supervisor in the Older Adult Program\, providing clinical oversight for the program. She also does individual\, group\, and family therapy\, runs psychoeducational groups\, gives lectures\, calls referents and family members\, and sets up aftercare for patients. She is a member of Caron’s trauma team\, trained in cognitive processing therapy (CPT)\, a proven modality to treat trauma. Diana has worked at Caron as a therapist since 2013 in the Women’s Program\, Men’s Program\, and the Relapse Program\, moving into her current role in 2015. \nDr. Ming R. Wang\, MD\, FASAM\nMing R. Wang\, M.D.\, is an addiction medicine physician and an associate medical director at Caron Treatment Centers. He oversees the Detox and Chronic Pain Programs and Caron’s nursing staff. He also serves as medical director for the Older Adult Programs. Dr. Wang is a faculty member of the Caron – Reading Hospital Addiction Medicine Fellowship. He also teaches the local and regional residents and medical students who rotate at Caron Treatment Centers. He started with Caron as an addiction medicine fellow in 2013 and was hired as an addiction medicine physician in March 2014. \nDr. Devon Dautrich-Ph.D-Supervisor of Psychological Testing \nDr. Dautrich is the Supervisor of Psychological Testing Services and the staff Psychologist for Caron’s Older Adult Program on the Pennsylvania campus.  She is also a Certified School Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. Dautrich earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Bryn Mawr College where her research focused on emotion recognition and cognitive training in older adults.  She completed an APA-accredited Pre-Doctoral internship at The Reading Hospital where she provided outpatient therapy and participated in family medicine\, partial hospitalization\, acute inpatient care\, and forensic psychology rotations. Prior to Caron she worked as a family therapist and peer supervisor on the Bryn Mawr Child Study Institute’s Family Therapy Treatment Team. Dr. Dautrich has an extensive background in working with children and adults across the lifespan with a wide range of mental and behavioral health concerns.  She has a strong interest in psychological\, diagnostic\, and neuropsychological testing and has used assessment measures in research\, inpatient\, outpatient\, forensic\, and school settings.  For the past six years\, she has treated older adults with substance use disorder\, focusing on diagnostic assessment\, cognitive testing\, and evidence-based care. \nCEU Information:  \n\nThis program has been submitted but not yet approved for Continuing Education for 1.0 total participation hours by NAB/NCERS.\nTo receive continuing education credit for LeadingAge PA-sponsored webinars\, attendees must register under their name\, participate through the link supplied after registering and complete the evaluation after the webinar.\nAttendees of this program are able to request certificate of attendance for HUD continuing education
