SUMMARY:MLTSS Any Willing Qualified Provider (AWQP) Initiative: CoreQ Survey
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Human Services MLTSS Any Willing Qualified Provider initiative is moving forward.  Over the last few weeks\, DHS offered a comprehensive webinar on AWQP.  As promised during the Feb. webinars\, another webinar is being offered specific to CORE Q. \nThis webinar will present an overview of the hospital utilization tracking and the CoreQ experience survey.  The CoreQ experience survey has been used in nursing facilities for approximately four years.  CoreQ is a three to four question satisfaction survey that will be collected twice a year from long-stay residents and families of long-stay residents.  Nursing home collaboration with Dr. Castle is essential to facilitate the collection and calculation of these two QPS measures for nursing homes. \nRegistration is required but there is no fee. \nRegister here \n

SUMMARY:Implementation of the MLTSS Any Willing Qualified Provider (AWQP)
DESCRIPTION:AWQP webinar brochure Jan Feb 2018 \nProgram Overview: The Any Willing Qualified Provider (AWQP) is a Department of Human Services (DHS) Nursing Facility Quality Improvement Initiative which is being developed and implemented under Managed Long Term Services and Supports (MLTSS). It will require Medicaid certified nursing facilities (NFs) serving MLTSS participants to meet Quality Performance Standards as a means to raise the overall quality of care and provide a basis for future Value Based Purchasing of NF services. Under the program\, New Jersey will transition from its current any willing provider (AWP) policy\, which requires a managed care organization (MCO) to contract with any NF who would like a contract and complies with the MCO’s provider network participation\nrequirements\, to the AWQP program. The AWQP program establishes the ground work for a NF and an MCO to negotiate a payment rate based on quality and outcomes. This program was\ndeveloped in collaboration with the MLTSS Steering Committee’s Quality Workgroup. \nObjectives:\nThis webinar will focus on the following:\n• What is the AWQP initiative and why is it being done?\n• What are the seven Quality Performance Standards?\n• What does the AWQP designation mean for my nursing facility?\n• What is a Quality Performance Plan and why will a NF create one?\n• What is the appeal process for the AWQP designation and reasons for appeal?\n• What technical assistance opportunities will exist and what is the role of the MCOs?\n• What is the progressive accountability component and how does this process fit into the\nAWQP initiative?\nSpeakers:\nNew Jersey Department of Human Services\nLaura Otterbourg\, Director\nElizabeth Brennan\, Assistant Director\nLeah Rogers\nDivision of Aging Services & Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services\nTrenton\, N.J \nRegistration is required but there is no fee. \nClick here to register
