This webinar will address the role of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) which monitors the public utilities, which play a vital role in our daily lives. The BPU activities before, during and after an outage caused by a weather event will be discussed. The issues faced for the restoration process and restoration prioritixation process will be described. The audience will get a better underestanding of the communication provess that takes place between the BPU and the NJ Department of Health (NJDOH) during an outage. The actions the healthcare community should take before, during and after a wide spread outage will be described in detail.
