In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by AXIS Medical Education and LeadingAge NJ/DE. AXIS Medical Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
“The Journey” is a leadership development program designed to enhance the skills of middle managers by fostering self-awareness and relationship-building across an organization. This session, led by the program’s developer and recent graduates, will provide an overview of its structure, goals, and impact. Participants will engage in interactive exercises to experience key concepts firsthand, demonstrating how leadership tools can be applied in real-world scenarios. The session will highlight personal success stories from past participants, showcasing the transformative effects of the program on their leadership growth. Attendees will gain insights into how addressing team dysfunctions through structured leadership development can strengthen organizations. The goal is to inspire organizations to invest in their employees’ growth by illustrating the benefits of a well-structured leadership program. “The Journey” serves as a model for fostering leadership capabilities and strengthening workplace relationships.

Speaker Information
CFO, The Jewish Home Family
Brandy Stefanco is the Chief Financial Officer of the Jewish Home Family, Inc., and their sister organizations the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, Jewish Home Assisted Living, and Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey. Prior to joining the Jewish Home Family, Inc. in 2003, Ms. Stefanco served as a controller and accountant in multi-site for-profit post- acute care. She found her true joy, and began her career in healthcare, as an activity assistant in a small nursing home in Ohio. Ms. Stefanco is passionate about elder services and helping to build our leaders of tomorrow. She believes her role is to create stability and build strategy that enable others to live their best life.
In addition to her role as CFO, Ms. Stefanco is an active member of the Center for Aging Service Technology (CAST), a fellow, coach and mentor of the LeadingAge Larry Minnix Leadership Academy, has served as the Treasurer for LeadingAge NJ/DE and is currently their chair elect. Brandy is an active member of the AJAS CFO group and has been a speaker at AJAS conferences. Ms. Stefanco has been an instructor for administrators in training in both New Jersey and Ohio for the financial core of the federal nursing home licensing exam and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in New Jersey. Ms. Stefanco holds her Masters of Business Administration with a dual specialization in Healthcare and Finance from Northeastern University.
Senior Accountant, Jewish Home Family
Jason Harris is an Accountant with over 20 years of experience mainly in healthcare. He earned his MBA from the University at Buffalo and strives to increase efficiency and streamline processes wherever he goes. His blended family consists of 4 daughters that range in age from 13-8 and their beloved mini golden doodle. When he is not working or helping with the kids, he enjoys bike rides, concerts, and being in nature.
Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services, Jewish Home at Rockleigh
Tara Burbridge is the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation at the Jewish Home Family. Tara began her career in healthcare more than eighteen years ago as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, practicing in acute and subacute rehabilitation in New York and New Jersey. She is passionate for geriatric care, and for helping individuals to regain and maintain their highest level of independence, while living the best quality of life. Tara sought the opportunity for an OT Assistant position at the Jewish Home in 2016 for their reputation of innovation, and for providing the best quality of care to the elderly population. Tara’s role has evolved along with the Jewish Home over the years, to now being the ADOR where she assists in overseeing and guiding Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists to their SNF, LTC, Outpatient, and Assisted Living populations.
