Wednesday, June 18 | 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
This program has been submitted (but not yet approved) for Continuing Education for 1.0 total clock hours from NAB/NCERS.
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by AXIS Medical Education and LeadingAge NJ/DE. AXIS Medical Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
By 2033, nearly 16 million seniors will fall into the middle-income category, a demographic with limited housing and care options. Since NIC’s 2018 research, The Forgotten Middle, progress has been made in understanding and developing solutions for this group, though challenges remain in scaling and financing. This session will define the middle-market senior population and share proven strategies for creating sustainable senior living options. Lisa McCracken, Head of Research and Analytics at NIC, will present research on successful middle-market models and key factors for success. Andy Jubelt, CEO of Live Well Senior Cottages, will showcase their innovative approach, which combines affordable rental housing with integrated home care support. Case studies from both nonprofit and for-profit organizations will highlight best practices and lessons learned. Attendees will gain valuable insights into addressing the growing need for middle-income senior housing and care.
