In recent years, employees, particularly within aging services, have experienced immense stressors both professionally and personally. Employees are reportedly disengaged and often struggle to maintain mental wellness. This effect can further be seen in a decline in organizational outcomes. Now is the time to address employee mental health and in doing so, improve your organization’s outcomes. Leaders who invest in employee mental health take the organization from surviving, just getting by each day, to thriving with enhanced wellness and improved engagement for optimal outcomes. This session will help leaders learn methods and resources to assess the current state of employee engagement and the mental health needs of employees, as well as the resources to deploy for an improved performance culture of the organization.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the relationship between employee mental health and organizational performance
- Appraise your team’s mental health needs and engagement
- Contrast the typical measures used to improve morale and satisfaction with the evidence based strategies for improving mental wellness and engagement
