We currently are seeking a Director of Nursing. This is a vital role in assuring delivery of the highest quality of care to our Wiley Life Plan Community.

Our Director of Nursing will possess a New Jersey RN license with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Director of Nursing, strong clinical background, strong knowledge of regulations, laws and guidelines pertaining to long-term care and proven management and leadership skills

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Manage the daily operations of the nursing department.
  • Participate in QAPI and Facility Assessment duties
  • Participates in the recruitment, hiring and termination of nursing staff
  • Monitors care provided to residents
  • Oversees the monitoring and implementation of the infection control program
  • Ensure delivery of high quality of care to every Resident thru compassion, well trained and skilled nursing staff and overall teamwork
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Participates in all Admission decisions
  • Assures the compliance of all state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Participates in team meetings to review any Resident changes or concerns, collaborating with members of the team to resolve issues and improve quality of services provided
  • Oversees/performs education, training and job performance of all nursing staff
  • Manage nursing staff schedules and assignments
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive care plans
  • Address any concerns regarding nursing care with Resident and/or family
  • Assists in the preparation of inspection surveys, including staff in-services on survey processes, and participation in mock surveys as indicated.
  • Participates in the facility’s plan of correction response to an inspection survey and implements any follow-up required for nursing allegations.
  • Oversees resident incidents and concerns daily to identify any unusual occurrences and reports them promptly to the Administrator and/or state agency for appropriate action.
  • Monitors for allegations of potential abuse or neglect, or misappropriation of resident property and participates in the investigative process.
