NHSN Webinar Series for LTCs: Session 1: NHSN Access and Reporting Requirements

The NJ Department of Health has arranged for the health educators at the CDC to host three free webinars specifically for New Jersey Long-term Care facilities. We encourage administrators, infection preventionists, directors of nursing, and other staff involved in NHSN reporting at your facility to attend. Sessions will be recorded and sent out to those who registered.

Topic: Session 1: NHSN Access and Reporting Requirements

• P.L. 2021, c. 457 was approved on January 18, 2022 requiring Nursing Homes to participate in NHSN’s Long Term Care Facility component. This includes completing the LTCF Annual Facility Survey and participating in the LTCF monthly reporting plan which consists of HAI reporting for urinary tract infections, the LabID event module for C. diff, MDROs, and Prevention Process Measures.
