New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) was founded in 2014 and combines the vast resources of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) with proven methods to drive innovation and deliver transformative products and services to government and industry partners. NJII is a leader in driving innovation through a wide range of initiatives across its divisions (AI/ML, Defense, Entrepreneurship, Healthcare, and Learning & Development). NJII’s Healthcare Division supports multiple programs for the New Jersey Departments of Health and Human Services by using technology to assist government in better servicing the citizens of New Jersey. Its goal is to improve patient experience and population health while reducing the cost of healthcare with innovation, technology, and metrics. Primary among the programs that NJII is implementing for the DOH is the New Jersey Health Information Network (NJHIN). On behalf of NJDOH, NJII provides client engagement and full technical support for onboarding, integration, and ensuring data quality and security.
