E1: New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS) Update

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by AXIS Medical Education and LeadingAge NJ/DE. AXIS Medical Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Medicaid managed care, policies related to aging services, and Medicaid eligibility will be areas of focus for this important session. Join representatives from the Department of Human Services to stay up to date with key issues that impact nursing homes, assisted living and home and community-based services providers. Specifically, DHS will discuss:
- Awqp changes
- ALP gap payment
- Update on eligibility process
- Behavioral health carve in status
- Housing supports program implementation
- Ltc-2 portal changes
- Medicaid impacts based on federal decisions: SNAP, provider tax and future initiatives like presumptive eligibility for hcbs and pace, community based palliative care.

Speaker Information
Director of Provider and Member Relations, New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services
Ms. Molinari is the Director of Member and Provider Relations at the New Jersey Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS), Office of Managed Health Care. Prior to working at DMAHS, she was a Program Manager at the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Ms. Molinari has extensive experience working with state and federally funded medical and behavioral health providers.
Administrator, NJ Department of Human Services
Dianna is a seasoned healthcare and human services professional with extensive experience in program management, policy development, and quality assurance. As a Program Manager at NJ’s Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services, Dianna manages the administration of Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS), overseeing MCO performance and enforcing policies to enhance Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) for Medicaid beneficiaries.
Previously, Dianna held leadership roles with the Division of Developmental Disabilities and, more recently, the Division of Disability Services. Dianna’s career reflects a deep commitment to improving access to high quality services and shaping policies that promote equitable healthcare outcomes for individuals with disabilities and complex needs.
Dianna holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The College of New Jersey. She holds certification as a Chemical Dependency Associate and is a certified Community Resource Specialist (CRS) through Inform USA, formerly the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS).
