DIRECTOR OF SENIOR LIVING BLUE SKY SALES & MARKETING

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Senior Living Blue Sky Sales & Marketing to join a leadership team and lead the sales efforts in Hackettstown, NJ. The ideal candidate is a passionate and experienced sales professional who can contribute to this senior living community’s growth.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Director of Senior Living Blue Sky Sales and Marketing supports the organization in the achievement of occupancy and growth objectives, in accordance with the mission, philosophy, and care standards of this community. Directs the sales program and manages the sales team; disseminates information to the public regarding the community; performs sales functions, finds, and follows up on leads, interviews potential residents, and sells vacant apartments. The Director of Senior Living Blue Sky Sales and Marketing leads by example, maintaining a professional work relationship with team members, clients, members, patients, family members and residents. Remains knowledgeable of residents’ rights and embraces our philosophy of person directed care.

Essential Functions:

  • Strategic:
    • Work with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Executive Director on fostering and cultivating relationships inside and outside our community.
    • Manage appropriate metrics and reports to measure progress against goals and objectives and to ensure desired outcomes are met.
    • Implement sales strategies, analyze market information, and make recommendations for achieving occupancy and growth objectives.
    • Remains current by reading professional journals and literature, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses and industry conferences, and attending training and/or courses as appropriate.
    • Actively participates in being a learning and teaching organization and demonstrates willingness to continue to learn and seek improvement.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Search out qualified leads from a variety of sources.
    • Initiate and maintain contact with prospective residents, referral sources and others.
    • Show apartments and the community to prospective residents, families, guests, and others.
    • Receive calls and inquiries from prospective residents, their families, and/or their advisors; provide information, answer questions, overcome objections and close sales.
    • Interview and review records of prospective residents for approval; paperwork includes applications, contracts, financial reports, lead tracking and sales reports.
    • Review levels of care needed by prospective residents with the prospect, others in the sales and marketing team and clinical team when necessary.
    • Prepare and review occupancy and sales reports.
    • Implement the annual marketing plan including planning and organizing lead generation and advancement events.
    • Oversee and facilitate the acceptance process for new residents.
    • Manage apartment census and apartment readiness.
    • Work with outside consultants as required.
  • Management/Supervision:
    • Provide leadership, management, and ongoing coaching of department team members to support the achievement of the organization’s performance goals.
    • Create an environment for team members that honors, respects, and values individual opinions and suggestions; demonstrate fair treatment and ethical business practices; support team development and reward achievement.
    • Communicate performance standards to team members; observe, measure, and evaluate performance to ensure metrics are achieved; conduct regular performance observation, assessment, and discussion with team members
    • Implement required community and corporate policies and procedures in collaboration with the leadership team.
    • Evaluates training needs on an ongoing basis; assesses learning needs based on new programs, equipment or regulations, complaints, or trends in performance. Interpersonal Sensitivity and
  • Communication Skills:
    • Effectively communicates with senior leaders within the organization, the industry and broader community as well as residents, families, and team members.
    • Promotes open communication, positive interactions, and the timely resolution of inter/intradepartmental issues.
    • Ability to efficiently manage and respond to our clients’, residents’, and all other inquiries. Gives feedback and asks for information from other team and family members, as necessary.
    • Relates well to residents, clients, members, patients, family and team members, vendors, and other members of the community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record in sales, with experience in senior living
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and coach a team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and a results-oriented mindset.· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deep understanding of the needs and preferences of the senior living community market.
