The Director of Social Services oversees the Social Services Department at Medford Leas. This role involves supervising department staff and serving as a consultant and confidant to residents, providing ongoing guidance and information about community services and resources. The Director of Social Services acts as a liaison between residents, their families, and management, coordinating services with other departments to ensure quality resident care. Other responsibilities include working with MDS, community outreach – Tri-County Regional Ethics Committee (TREC), facilitating financial assistance, participating in decisions regarding level of care, and organizing group and individual meetings to address residents’ life issues.

Qualified Candidates Should Have: A Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited university or education program or equivalent related education and credentials that meet regulatory requirements. At least 5 years of social work experience in senior care. Supervisory experience preferred. An active Clinical Social Worker License to practice in the State of NJ. Experience working with MDS.
