Director of Social Services (Full Time)Join our team! Surround yourself with great people, make an impactful difference and become an essential member of our Health Care staff and community. The Director of Social Services oversees the Social Services Department at Medford Leas. This role involves supervising department staff and serving as a consultant and confidant to residents, providing ongoing guidance and information about community services and resources. The Director of Social Services acts as a liaison between residents, their families, and management, coordinating services with other departments to ensure quality resident care. Other responsibilities include working with MDS, community outreach – Tri-County Regional Ethics Committee (TREC), facilitating financial assistance, participating in decisions regarding level of care, and organizing group and individual meetings to address residents’ life issues.
Qualified Candidates Should Have: A Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited university or education program or equivalent related education and credentials that meet regulatory requirements. At least 5 years of social work experience in senior care. Supervisory experience preferred. An active Clinical Social Worker License to practice in the State of NJ. Experience working with MDS.
