Vice President of Human Resources – BroadmeadDeffet Group is pleased to have been retained by Broadmead to conduct an executive search for a Vice President of Human Resources. Broadmead, Inc., affiliated with Friends Care, Inc., Broadmead Community Services LLC, and Friends Share, Inc., is a non-profit Life Plan Community situated on a beautiful 94-acre campus in Cockeysville, Maryland. Since 1979, the vibrant and pioneering community has offered the full continuum of care, ranging from garden-style and open concept independent living choices to new luxury apartments, Taylor Assisted Living, Darlington Memory Support Assisted Living, and both short- and long-term healthcare and rehabilitative services through its Hallowell Comprehensive Care Center. The organization is home to approximately 500 residents. Broadmead recently completed an $80 million repositioning to enhance and expand the resident population and all levels of care.

Broadmead is searching for a Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) to oversee all human resource-related issues. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the VP of HR has overall responsibility for developing and administering the community’s HR functions, capabilities and related programs and initiatives. They must also direct and coordinate human resource activities such as talent management, employee relations, compensation, performance management, benefits, team member development, and team member services.

The ideal candidate for this role should have either a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Human Resource Management or related field, or a Master’s Degree (MS) in Human Resources or related field. They must also have either SCP – Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Certification or PHR/SPHR (HRCI) Certification. In addition, they must have 15+ years progressive Human Resource leadership experience and a proven track record of cultural transformation management. Additionally, the VP of HR will be part of a strategic effort to help Broadmead become an “Employer of Choice” between 2024 and 2028, by promoting a diverse, inclusive culture of trust and respect for all, attracting team members who take pride in their work and honoring relationships within the Broadmead community and beyond.
