The core focus of the session will then shift towards proactive legal risk management. Attendees will be introduced to a structured framework for identifying, assessing, and prioritizing legal risks specific to the industry. Furthermore, the session will address the role of insurance as a tool for mitigating legal risks. Participants will gain an understanding of the types of insurance coverage available, the importance of tailored policies, and the role of insurance in protecting against unforeseen legal challenges. Jeffrey Daitz, Partner and Co-Chair Labor & Employment Dept. Hall Booth Smith, P.C.

Jeffrey M. Daitz is a Partner in Hall Booth Smith, P.C.’s Saddle Brook, New Jersey office, Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Group, as well as Co-Director of the Employment Practices Liability Insurance Defense Department. Jeffrey is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of the United States. Jeffrey earned a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University where he majored in Accounting, Finance and Economics. Jeffrey is a long-time participant in the LeadingAge organization and partner of LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware. He has more than two (2) decades of experience in employment law, labor management relations, and alternative dispute resolution. Jeffrey’s nationwide practice is focused on defending employers in Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) matters and Directors & Officers (D&O) claims, and he also monitors claims on behalf of carriers. He is often brought in to coordinate local and co-counsel in multiparty and multi-jurisdiction litigation.
